Located in Innovation Park at 2010 Levy Avenue.
FCRR is seeking a part time (20 hours per week) help desk support technician to serve multiple roles for the IT department. The first role is to provide User Support to the 200+ staff and faculty at the FCRR. The primary location is at the main office at Innovation Park, but includes intermittent (or as needed) trips to FSU’s main campus.
User support includes acquiring technical specifications for new purchases, ordering, receiving, and installing hardware and software, maintaining workstations and troubleshooting and resolving issues to include desktops, laptops and a variety of input devices (scanners, video cameras, and audio recorders, as well as specialized equipment such as eye tracking stations), output devices (printers), and storage devices (networked and non-networked).
The team is responsible for the tracking and security of inventory (hardware, software, and data) and insuring that all warranties and service agreements are in place.
A High School Diploma and one year appropriate experience is required.
Must possess strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
Have the ability to support in-house users on Microsoft Office Products, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.
Must be able to provide troubleshooting, hardware and software installation, connectivity support, and diagnose and maintain desktop and laptop computer systems as appropriate.
Knowledge of mobile devices as well as experience with procurement utilizing the FSU OMNI system and maintaining inventory records is preferred.

Anticipated Salary Range
This is an OPS/temporary Job.
Soft Money Funded Position
This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting.
