Position Summary:

The Instructor/Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the Head Athletic Trainer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in managing a Division I athletic training room, developing and implementing standard operating procedures, appropriate documentation of injuries, oversight of practices and game coverage, as well as traveling for away sports events.

Perform various duties as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer. Teaches Concepts of Fitness courses for HPESS Department.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of University, Sun Belt Conference and NCAA rules and procedures. Proficiency in written and oral communications. Interact with a diverse set of coaches and support staff, as well as the business community.

The instructor/assistant athletic trainer has contact with student-athletes, physicians, hospitals, and athletics personnel as well as institutional administrative personnel. Travel to conferences and professional development sessions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and NATA BOC Certification required.

Collegiate training experience preferred,
