Job Summary The University of Georgia (UGA) invites applications and nominations for the position of Director, Human Resources Training & Development. The Director of Training and Development is responsible for the creation and execution of a comprehensive and integrated training strategy to support critical business needs for the University of Georgia. The Director of Training and Development will be accountable for the establishment and the management of a training curriculum including designing and developing experiential training opportunities through instructional materials, training courses, and multimedia technologies. This role collaborates with campus leaders to identify and create action plans to address gaps in training. The position will leverage the knowledge and experience of subject matter experts throughout the institution. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources. The Director of Training and Development will be responsible for the administration of a comprehensive training program that improves organizational individual performance and productivity with an emphasis on quality, service and faculty/staff engagement. The Director of Training and Development will lead an effective and motivated team of training specialists providing exceptional training and support, playing a key role in helping the organization achieve our growth and service goals.
