The Department of Management and the Institute for Management & Innovation (IMI) at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) invite applications for a teaching-stream appointment, at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in the area of Organizational Behaviour/Human Resource Management. The position start date is July 1, 2018.

Qualified applicants must have a minimum of a Master's or MBA degree with an emphasis in Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field. Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in any of these fields by the date of appointment or shortly thereafter. A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching is required, including a strong record of curricular development and pedagogical innovation. Research interests in management education will be considered an asset. Evidence of excellence in teaching and pedagogical practices can be presented through teaching accomplishments (e.g. awards, recognition, new course and curriculum development), a coherent statement of teaching philosophy that is linked to evidence of excellent pedagogical practices, strong letters of reference reflecting on both excellent teaching and evidence of commitment to pedagogical enquiry, and the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application.

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be appointed as a faculty member of the Department of Management (51% appointment) and the Institute for Management & Innovation (49% appointment) at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM).

The successful applicant will be part of a strong culture of graduate and undergraduate management education including our recently-launched Specialist (BBA) Program in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations that includes courses in HR Planning, Compensation, Recruitment and Selection, and Training and Development. Other programs include: Master of Forensic Accounting (MFAcc); Master of Management of Innovation (MMI); Master of Management & Professional Accounting (MMPA); Master of Science in Sustainability Management (MScSM); Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech); B.Com., BBA and HBA (Management). Demonstrated ability to teach courses across all HR functions is required.
