Degree and Area of Specialization:

DVM or equivalent



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Advanced training in dentistry and oral surgery required. Board certified or board eligible in the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) or European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC) is necessary.



License or certificate:

Must maintain a Wisconsin License to practice veterinary medicine.



Position Summary:

This is a full-time clinical instructor position in the Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Sugery section with the Department of Surgical Sciences. This position will be part of a current team of two AVDC diplomates and three residents providing clinical service to teh dentistry and oral surgery section within the Small Animal Hospital of UW Veterinary Care on the UW Madison Campus. The annual case load for the small animal hospital is over 24,000 patients with 4-5 dental and /or orofacial procedures performed daily.



Additional Information:

If needed, study time for the AVDC examination will be provided.
Candidates demonstrating expertise or interest in expanding the veterinary dentistry and oral surgery service's clinical service offerings to zoological or equine patients is supported and encouraged, but not required.
