Job Description

Teach Medical Information and Revenue Management (MIRM) courses; including medical coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) and billing. Integration of industry experience provides the most relevant learning experience and is expected for each course. Courses vary in delivery times, please inquire. Facility will be required to participate in department professional development, prepare and manage coursework, and submit deadlines for grading and attendance.

    • Possess a bachelor degree in healthcare, education, business, technology, or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience
    • Possess current RHIT, RHIA, or coding certification
    • Demonstrated professional knowledge of health record content, uses and structures, as well as accreditation processes in healthcare, professional roles in the management of health information, the evolving nature of health information management functions, and technology in healthcare
    • Effective oral and written communication skills

    Preferred Skills:
    • Graduate level degree in healthcare education, business, technology, or other related experience
    • Possess current RHIT, RHIA, or coding certification
