Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Registrar oversees a staff of three, and is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of academic and student information, including all functions related to registration and enrollment; maintenance and control of both active and archived student records; modifications to student records, including the processing and issuance of transfer credit, grades, grade changes and grading options; monitoring of academic progress; certification of undergraduate and graduate degrees; determination of honors; production of transcripts; implementation of policies governing disclosure of information from student records; scheduling of all classroom assignments; the production of the schedule of classes; maintaining and updating the catalog of courses; and the development and issuance of the academic calendar and the final examinations schedules. The Registrar also plays a critical role in the ongoing maintenance, development, and improvement of automated systems including, but not limited to, online course registration and academic advising.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in business, information technology, higher education administration or a relevant field and a minimum of seven to ten years of progressively responsible and related experience in a registration and records environment; strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a proven ability to manage and supervise staff effectively, work collaboratively with other areas in the college, and interact productively with diverse constituencies; possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills; have experience with student information systems/databases (preferably with PeopleSoft Software) and data interfaces (such as with the National Student Clearinghouse), as well as the ability to assess processes, evaluate problems, and propose solutions and/or improvements. A thorough knowledge of FERPA and related legislation, regulations, and policies is mandatory.
