General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Fraternity & Sorority Life Grad Assistant. The Fraternity & Sorority Life and Engagement Graduate Assistant will support the Director in the continuing growth of Fraternity & Sorority Life at UNG. The Graduate Assistant will assist in the successful management of recruitment activities, educational programs, administrative responsibilities and work directly with co-advising the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Graduate Assistant will:
  • Assist in the advisement of the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils
  • Assist in the advisement of the Order of Omega honor society
  • Assist in planning and advisement of Greek Week
  • Assist with expansion efforts on the Gainesville campus
  • Work closely with Director on functions of the Fraternity & Sorority Life office (recruitment, New Member 101, educational programs)
  • Assist with compiling and updating FSL membership records and semester reports
  • Assist with daily operations of the Fraternity & Sorority Life and Engagement office

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; willingness to work occasional evening and weekend hours
  • Excellent organizational, communication, teamwork and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Strong involvement and leadership experience in a student organization as an undergraduate
  • Membership in a fraternity or sorority is preferred
