The Department of Parking and Transportation at the University of Virginia is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to fill its Courier position.
The Courier position at the University of Virginia's Department of Parking and Transportation is a multi-faceted position within the Department with responsibilities ranging from transport of funds to the dispatching of mail.
The primary duties of the courier are:
-- Retrieving and distributing change funds from UVA parking garages.
-- Daily collections from the pay-by-space machines located at various locations.
-- Collecting money from the parking meters located across UVA Grounds.
-- Going to the bank for change runs.
-- Delivery of mail from our office to other departments.
-- Printing validation tickets orders as needed.
-- Delivery of validation tickets.
-- Light meter maintenance (battery replacement / receipt paper refills).
-- Assist Business Office Staff with other duties, as requested.
