Posting Summary:
The Program for Anxiety, Cognition and Treatment (PACT) Lab at the University of Virginia, under the direction of Bethany Teachman, Ph.D, seeks applicants for a full-time Project Coordinator. This position is restricted and is contingent upon the continuation of funding. It is expected that this position will last a minimum of two years. The expected start date is August 28, 2017, though the specific start date is negotiable. The grant funding this position uses is a web-based research infrastructure to study the effects of cognitive bias modification (interpretation training) to reduce symptoms of anxiety. More generally, the lab investigates cognitive processes that contribute to the development and maintenance of anxiety and related disorders, studying a variety of populations using both lab-based and web-based data collections. Duties will include assisting with participant recruitment, help with creating study materials (including some programming of new computer tasks), training research assistants, access participants, and manage database. The Project Coordinator will also have opportunities to co-author scientific papers, and conduct independent research.
