Participate in the hiring, training, and supervision of the paraprofessional student staff (Student Ambassadors) to engage undergraduate students in a way that encourages their utilization of services at the Center for Career Development (CCD) and Educational Resource Center (ERC). Plan, schedule, and oversee daily programming in the CCD-ERC first floor program space at the Yawkey Center for Student Services (100 Bay State Road). Create a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere in the Student Support Center to facilitate student engagement with both offices. Represent the CCD and ERC at the Yawkey Center and at department-specific programs and campus-wide events, including presentations regarding CCD-ERC services and resources to students (current, incoming, and prospective), their families, and other audiences. Compile data regarding program delivery of current CCD-ERC outreach initiatives and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of current programs. This position reports to the Student Outreach Manager.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required; must have experience in successfully training, supervising, advising, and team-building college-aged populations. Desired qualifications include excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills; project management and organizational skills; timeliness; and attention to detail. Position requires an ability to be a collaborative team player with the staffs of the CCD and ERC and other University departments, as well as the ability to work independently. The high visibility of the Yawkey Center for Student Services requires a Coordinator who demonstrates energy, warmth, creativity, and flexibility, as well as a high degree of professionalism and commitment. Regular participation in evening and weekend events across campus and adaptability to a flexible work schedule are requirements of this position.
