Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Finance, Tenure Track, Department of Business, Accounting & Economics.  Otterbein University, a comprehensive liberal arts institution in the suburban Columbus area, invites immediate applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance, with the appointment beginning in August 2018.  This is a tenure-track position with commensurate expectations for teaching, scholarship and service.  Candidates without terminal degrees would hold the rank of Instructor, Non-Tenure Track.  Applications for a visiting position will also be considered. 

Responsibilities: The candidate is expected to excel in the areas of teaching, research, and service related to Otterbein’s Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in Microeconomics, Money and Banking, Business Finance and International Finance. The candidate may also be required to teach an MBA course in Corporate Finance. Research responsibilities include publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at peer-reviewed conferences in areas related to Finance. Faculty members must be able to teach evening and weekend classes, as well as daytime classes. Faculty members are also expected to be involved in professional and community activities for the purposes of scholarship, self-development and service.

Qualifications:  A Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB accredited college of business/economics preferred or be within one (1) year of degree completion. This is a tenure-track position with commensurate expectations for teaching, scholarship and service. The ideal candidate must possess superior communication, leadership, and organizational skills, and an ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse communities and cultures.  Teaching experience in baccalaureate and graduate programs, demonstrated record of scholarship, experience in curriculum development and evaluation, and experience in online and/or blended education preferred.
