DEAN OF E-LEARNING AND INNOVATIVE INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY

 

Delaware County Community College (The College) is seeking an innovative leader for the position of Dean of E-Learning and Innovative Instructional Delivery.

The Dean of E-Learning and Innovative Instructional Delivery will report directly to the Provost and will be responsible for providing administrative and strategic leadership, management, and oversight in support of the Delaware County Community College’s Strategic Plan.  The Dean of E-Learning will foster a culture of collaboration, mutual respect, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the College; while establishing cutting-edge online course development and facilitating faculty training in multi-media platforms, instructional support and other technological initiatives.

The Dean of E-Learning and Innovative Instructional Delivery will lead and facilitate the development, implementation, and evaluation of distance education courses and programs, market the E-Learning Division, and be responsible for enrollment and revenue goals.  Working with other college deans and faculty, and the Information Technology staff, the Dean for E-Learning will lead efforts to identify and secure the necessary infrastructure to support the delivery of high quality online educational programs and the integration of technology into teaching and learning.

Candidates should possess an earned Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, although a Doctoral degree is preferred; 5-10 documented years of experience in a management position, preferably in a community college environment, or other relevant experience which would demonstrate the ability to lead the College’s E-Learning Division; demonstrated experience in developing online program and courses; demonstrated experience in online instructional design and teaching in an online environment; and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A two-year community college in the Philadelphia area, founded in 1967, the College has grown to serve approximately 24,000 credit and non-credit bearing students each year in Delaware and Chester Counties. With nine locations that offer a total of 28 associate degrees, 23 transfer degrees, and 35 certificate programs, the College offers day, evening and weekend options including on-campus, hybrid and online courses.

The College has been recognized as an Achieving the Dream Leader College, and for eight years in a row has been named a “Great College to Work For” by The Chronicle of Higher Education.
