Founded in 1899, Mount Ida College is a small, private college in Newton, Massachusetts, just minutes from Boston which provides career focused programs built upon a strong foundation in the social sciences, humanities and the arts, all developed and implemented to prepare our approximately 1,400 students for success in their chosen fields of endeavor.

History of Architecture course studies exemplary architecture of the Western civilization from the Renaissance to the 21st century. It focuses on architecture as an art form and traces the cultural, technical, and stylistic roots of architectural developments.
