Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, Facilities Management is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair and maintenance of U.Va.'s buildings, infrastructure and grounds as well as other University-owned and leased properties.

The Instrumentation & Controls Technician will support the Automation Department goal of providing consistent, cost effective, efficient and reliable monitoring and maintenance services for University building automation systems. The incumbent will install, troubleshoot and repair electric, electronic, and electro-mechanical equipment and controls that comprise and support the University's building automation systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Expertise in the operation and diagnosis of electrical solid-state control systems and modules.
2. Good working knowledge of electrical, basic electronic equipment, and controls as they relate to building automation systems.
3. Good oral and written communication skills.
