Can you work with a highly creative team of designers, writers, videographers, data wranglers and fundraisers to bring amazing websites and digital experiences to life? How about integrating social APIs, email, user data, and marketing analytics to deliver meaningful personalized experiences? What do you think is the best way to transfer data across systems?

The Advancement Communications team at the University of Virginia is seeking a talented web developer to help our fundraising professionals generate millions of philanthropic dollars for Thomas Jefferson's landmark institution as we launch into our Bicentennial Commemoration and Campaign for the Third Century. You'll help us grow and maintain a network of websites and digital properties. You'll also support a cloud-based Online Engagement System (OES) for targeted email, online donations, event registration forms, and a backend caching system that helps keep data aligned across platforms. You'll help generate analytics to ensure our storytelling is moving audiences and keeping them engaged in the life and support of the University.

You will need excellent communication, planning and organizational skills, the desire to be a member of a collaborative team, the ability to hit deadlines and work with shifting priorities. You'll also need the people skills to support a variety of stakeholders in individual schools and centers of excellence across UVA Grounds.

Required: a proven track record with PHP, MySQL, WordPress, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Excel

Preferred: SOAP, REST, Drupal, GIT, Apache, Sass/Less or other preprocessors, Grunt/Gulp or other build tools, Tableau, Experience with OOP
