ANNUAL (12 months)
Degree and Area of Specialization:
-Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, public health, or other health related field is required.
-Masters is preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
-1 year of work experience preferred.
-Prior work in research study with participant or patient contact is desirable.
The research specialist will help perform a variety of duties needed to complete a large prospective cohort study of diet and lifestyle in relation to age-related eye diseases. This position will collaborate with the study coordinator, scientist, and biostatistician, under the supervision of the principal investigator. This position will also assist with fulfilling duties related to active sponsored research programs.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
-Ability to work effectively as part of an integrated study team.
-Experience using MS Office Suite
-Experience using statistical analysis software
-Experience with research in eye health and/or nutrition
-Experience preparing Institutional Review Board applications
This is a one year position and may be extended for up to one more year and/or converted to a renewable position contingent upon funding.
Title prefix and salary will be dependant on relevant years of experience.
