Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

This is a temporary (hourly) job. Expected work hours are full-time, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, with occasional overtime as needed.

This is an entry level IT position that will act as additional support for the offices supported by Finance IT. He/she will supplement current IT support and be assigned special tasks and projects, to include, but not limited to, deploying new hardware, upgrading hardware, re-imaging current hardware, and inventory.
Applicant will also be scheduled, as needed, for assignment to various departments (buildings) across Columbia campus for desktop support.

A successful applicant must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Being an entry level position, candidate must be eager to learn. Current IT staff will train and pass along their knowledge into various IT skills including desktop support, server support and development.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in any IT related field or
-High school diploma and 4 years experience in the support and troubleshooting of data communications equipment, office automation systems, data communication systems design, processing of information or
-equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates should be able to identify and have a basic understanding of how a computer and various hardware components work.

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 or 10, Microsoft Office 2010 or above.

Any IT support or development experience a plus.
