The Program Coordinator oversees the Legal Skills in Social Context (LSSC) Program to ensure its efficient operation and seamless delivery. LSSC is a complex, full-year course required for all first year law students that prepares students for upper-level courses and provides the lawyering skills needed for co-op and their professional careers.
This position is central to the success of the LSSC Program. The Program Coordinator must efficiently manage and fulfill all administrative and technical aspects of this busy, multi-constituent program. The primary focus of the job is to ensure quality program delivery and excellent customer service and support to the LSSC faculty, as well as to students and external clients.
In addition to overseeing the administrative delivery of the LSSC program, the Program Coordinator is also a member of the Law School's Administrative Support team, which provides administrative support to faculty, departments, and programs within the School of Law.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience is required, preferably in an academic setting. This position is central to the LSSC Program, and its primary focus is to ensure high quality delivery of this Program and Law School’s Public Interest mission. Excellent customer service and support to students, LSSC faculty and staff is required. This is a very fast-paced environment. Success requires strong organization skills—it is essential that this individual be proactive and possess excellent follow-through skills. The Program Coordinator must be self-directed, professional, mature and dependable. Must be able to supervise others and work with a large and diverse constituency. As deadlines are not infrequent, s/he must have the ability to multi-task and to prioritize projects. Strong Microsoft Office platform skills are a requirement, as are facility with website maintenance, Survey Monkey, TWEN course software, and the willingness and ability to learn new software as needed.
