Nature of Work
The Client Services Manager Leads a team of Support Technicians to oversee technical support for all faculty, staff, and student technology needs in the university units. The manager both mentors and assists in the coordination of the day to day responsibilities of direct reports. This position reports to the Associate Director of User Services and focuses on high-quality delivery of services as well as continuous improvement of User Services Technical Support.
High school diploma or equivalent with 6 or more years of experience in a technology related field OR Bachelor’s degree with 4 or more years of experience in technology related field. Three years of experience in a lead/supervisor role in a technology support environment.
Applied understanding ITIL methodology. Expert MS Office suite skills and Internet-based applications and tools. Advanced verbal and written communications skills and effectiveness and comfort level with presentations to multiple levels of an organization. Expert understanding of complex IT enterprises and knowledge of enterprise functionality, effectiveness, efficiency, and applications. Advanced ability to use ITIL based work management systems (e.g. BMC Footprints). Must be able to lead project teams on efforts relevant to User Services Support. Must be able develop and lead training sessions both internal and external to ITS.
Familiarity with ITIL v3
$54,216 minimum - $74,208 midpoint
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Must be able to traverse to locations across large campus in a timely manner; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs;
This position is expected to comply with the University’s standard working hours. In addition, this position must be available outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends, to complete routine system maintenance, respond to emergency system outages, or serve in the department 7×24 on-call rotation.
