Lecturer - Early Childhood Education

Location: 414A Tillman Hall

The College of Education at Clemson University seeks a lecturer in Early Childhood Education beginning in August of 2018. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track position. Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate coursework related to topics such as foundations of early childhood education, critical issues in early childhood education, play and social/emotional development in early childhood education, and early childhood curriculum. In addition, successful candidates may teach practicum seminars and student teaching capstone courses, as well as supervise early childhood education majors in their practica and student teaching experiences. These practica include experiences in childcare settings (including Head Start), in public 4K, and in kindergarten through third grade.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications: Masters degree in Early Childhood Education (Ph.D. preferred) or related field, a minimum of three years successful public school teaching experience, experience supervising student teachers, and a commitment to creating and maintaining an environment that respects diversity.
