Institutional Research Analyst- Associate Level

Nature of Work

This is an entry level, regular, full-time (40 hours per week), benefited position. Position reports to the Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment (IEA). The Institutional Research Analyst – Associate works closely with senior institutional research staff in IEA by: assisting senior staff in supporting the institutional research function of the unit by coordinating, collecting and formatting/visualizing institutional data for both external and internal data requests, external surveys, benchmarking, accreditation, and assessment; assist with maintaining departmental website with continuous and steady flow of updated and accurate information in support of the institutional planning and assessment process; assist with production of Fact Book and Just the Facts publications; and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution in Social Science, Business, or related field and 3-5 years of related experience in higher education; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Social Science, Business, or related field and 1-3 years of related experience in higher education. Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent organizational skills. Strong math and analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Attention to detail. Strong critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently. Willingness to learn new software.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Social Science, Business, or related field. Intermediate level or higher proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and graphs), and understanding of basic statistics.

$16.15 minimum to $19.99 midpoint (Hourly)

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Normal office setting with long periods of time of sitting. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
