Clinical Supervisor, Audiology


Job Description Summary:

The Dept of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at the George Washington University is seeking to fill one part-time Clinical Supervisor, Audiology. The position will be reporting to the Clinic Director. Hours will be flexible, with early evening hours needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The incumbent will be responsible for providing diagnostic and (re)habilitative audiology services to clients of all ages. This includes but is not limited to: audiology diagnostics, hearing aid fittings/servicing, real-ear measures, cochlear implant mapping; attend faculty/staff meetings, and various other clinical duties.
  • Supervision and evaluation of graduate students during patient care.
  • Service for the department as assigned by the Clinic Director.
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Master's degree in Audiology, plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a doctoral degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Qualified candidates must also have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech Hearing Association, and be licensed in DC. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
