Position Title: Assistant Professor of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament

Location: Azusa Campus

Description: We invite applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Biblical Studies in the Undergraduate Division of Religion & Philosophy beginning in August 2018. Applications from underrepresented groups are encouraged.

Specialization: Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. Preferred candidates will demonstrate a familiarity with diverse and two-thirds world hermeneutical perspectives. A feminist-critical background and/or an emphasis in Old Testament Theology is desirable.

Responsibilities: Research, publication, committee memberships, student advising, and teaching 8 undergraduate courses annually.

Level: Assistant Professor Rank.

Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. preferred.

Experience: Demonstrated ability in effective classroom teaching and scholarly research expected.
