The Askew Student Life Center was established to educate, entertain, and serve the FSU student body with a wide range of programming, events, and services. The Info Desk Setup and Building Managers staff the information desk in the lobby.
Reception position for the ASLC information desk main phone line, providing great customer service.
Completes set-ups for meetings, conferences and events in the 101s meeting rooms, Cyber Cafe, and select main theater and Courtyard help as directed by Guest Services, Program
Assistant, and Program Manager.
Completes audio visual (AV) set-ups for meetings, conference and events in the 101’s meeting rooms, Cyber Cafe and selected courtyard events.
Operates Fusion system to swipe students who check out video game consoles or games, as well as advanced screening passes.
Communicates any issues relating to equipment in the cyber cafe – particularly the gaming PCs.
Trains fellow set-up workers on related procedures.
Makes recommendations for Info Desk procedure changes to the Program Assistant.
Maintains organization & cleanliness of Lobby, Cyber Cafe, and 101s.
Participates in annual ASLC Staff Training.
Other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma or equivalency.
Ability to meet the physical demands of this position to include lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.
Customer service experience. .
Maintain at least a 2.3 GPA while employed Familiarity with ASLC operations.
Ability to work as a large group and as individuals in a time-restrictive environment.
Anticipated Salary Range
The weekly work commitment is 15-20 hours around student class schedule (nights and weekend hours needed).
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
