Duties:

The Assistant Director, Corporate, Community and Continuing Education is responsible for effective and efficient performance of administrative duties that support the success of the subdivision. The Assistant Director represents the College and serves the needs of local businesses by assisting the Executive Director in the promotion and delivery of corporate training, professional development and economic development. The Assistant Director is dedicated to the learning college concepts that promote student and organizational success.

Education/Experience:

Master's degree in business, education, training and development, organizational development or related field required.  A minimum of five years of professional experience in a management role with responsibilities including business development, budgeting, supervising, planning, proposal/contract writing, and customer service. Five plus years industrial and/or business experience required. Program planning, and department supervision, within a higher education institution (preferably in a community college or vocational education environment) strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

Oversees the Business Services Consultants responsible for identifying prospective clients, developing appropriate training solutions and achieving revenue targets. Supports, coaches and mentors the Business Services Consultants to ensure optimal performance. Coordinates strategic and annual plans and performance measures, including measures of client success and departmental effectiveness, for the corporate training function.

Assists in the development of a client acquisition strategy including industry, company, geographic, skills, etc., segmentation and performance metrics. Executes the strategy and measures/reports progress; recommends strategy adjustments as needed. Identifies, assigns and supervises completion of tasks as well as provides direction, feedback and coaching to Business Services Consultants and other departmental support staff in order for the team to operate efficiently and effectively.

Hours:  Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Minimum Starting Rate: $74,390.00
