IELP Enrollment Manager
The IELP Enrollment Manager reports to the Director of the IELP and is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, application, and enrollment process for prospective students in the IELP, Access Temple, and Special Programs; as well as maintaining data on current IELP student retention and matriculation rates into the university. The IELP Enrollment Manager will work closely with the university's Director of International Recruiting and the IELP Director to develop recruitment strategies and participate in international student recruitment trips. This position will field inquiries from prospective students, participate in recruitment efforts to bring in new international students, manage the entire application process from the moment that the student applies to the generation of the admissions package. This position works closely with international student and scholar services to ensure that students complete the necessary steps to receive their I-20s/DS-2019s. This person will also track student retention through the respective program, identify trends, and work with the IELP Director and, if needed, the academic team to identify mechanisms for increasing student retention. Conversion of students from IELP to university admission will also be a focus of this position, and the IELP enrollment manager will work with the IELP director, the IELP academic team, and undergraduate and graduate admissions to develop and present admissions workshops to current IELP students who are interested in Temple University. The IELP Enrollment Manager will provide data for forecasting and planning purposes and collaborate with the IELP director and Office of International Affairs communications team to develop marketing strategies and promotional materials for the IELP, Access Temple, and Special Programs. This position will take on additional responsibilities, as needed, such as assistance with registration, placement testing and orientation activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred, and at least two (2) year's experience with enrollment management and recruitment in higher education. Experience working with Banner and Destiny One or similar student information systems. Experience in admissions, recruitment or related field, preferably with an international population. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: * Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to take initiative and to problem solve. * Strong customer service skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of students, faculty, administrators and staff. * Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. * Ability to maintain a positive attitude when confronted with difficult situations. * Demonstrated ability to work with others as part of a team. * Demonstrated computer skills, including word processing and database software programs. Willingness to learn new technology.
