Job Summary/Basic Function: Part-time adjunct instructors needed for teaching CHEMISTRY courses for FALL 2017. Courses include General Chemistry I & II, their laboratory courses, or Organic Chemistry Laboratory I & II.
Course times are as follows: General Chemistry I, MWF 11-11:50 a.m. or TR 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.; General Chemistry I Laboratory, M, T, or W, 2-4:45 p.m., or W 8-10:45 a.m.; General Chemistry II, MWF 2-2:50 p.m.; General Chemistry II Laboratory, T 11 a.m.- 1:45 p.m., or F 8-10:45 a.m.; Organic Chemistry I Laboratory, M 11 a.m.-1:45 p.m., or W 11 a.m.-1:45 p.m.; Organic Chemistry II Laboratory, T 8-10:45 a.m. or R 8-10:45 a.m.
Work Hours: Varies with course schedule.

Necessary Qualifications: An earned Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
18 graduate hours in Chemistry.
Preferred Qualifications: Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in Chemistry, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Necessary Qualifications: Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting
Laboratory teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Broad training in chemistry
Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching.
Experience with non-traditional commuter university setting.
Experience with a culturally diverse student body.
Other Requirements or Other Factors
Other Qualifications for Posting: Ability to work cooperatively with others and provide excellent customer service to students, employees and the community. Ability to multitask.
