FINANCIAL MGMT ANALYST I
Medicine - Hematology

  1. Manages CME funds for each MD and APP and keeps track of monthly line item expenses on all 859 fund codes to ensure we're not over spending compared to budget;
  1. Reviews all Division transactions in workflow to ensure available balance in fund code and use of correct fund code prior to approving;
  1. Completes IRs for all Division approved purchases as needed (i.e. computers, printers, etc) for faculty and staff ordered thru Computer Center and our IT person);
  1. Assists with management of start-up and/or discretionary fund codes for faculty and provides balances and burn rates if needed; also now 453 fund codes;
  1. Ensures Medical Director timesheets are completed in timely manner;
  1. Ensures that goods receipts are completed in Buy@Duke;
  1. Works a list of outstanding Purchase Orders;
  1. Overdraft report ;
  1. Bi-weekly payroll;
  1. Monthly FAM validator for non-sponsored projects fund codes;
  1. Fellowship tuition payments;
  • Miscellaneous items - request/end fund codes, JV transfers, purchasing/requisitions, assistance with annual budget process.

Education

Work generally requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or a related business field.

Experience

Work generally requires two years of experience in accounting and/or budget review and analysis in a health care setting to become familiar with acceptable accounting principles. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
