GRADUATE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR

Job Summary This position reports to the Graduate Coordinator. The person in this position is responsible for overseeing the needs and demands of large (50+ total students) graduate programs. The position requires the holder to maintain awareness of graduate school, Franklin College , OVPR and IOB policies and procedures for all aspects of the program ranging from: outreach activities and recruiting of students; to advisement and record-keeping related to program requirements; qualifying exams and student progress in completion of graduation requirements; and thesis preparation, delivery and final exit interviews. This job requires the ability to multi-task , work with similar support personnel to graduate coordinators and programs across the UGA campus, as well as personnel in the Graduate School, Franklin College and any other units affiliated with the IOB. This job requires the ability to make independent decisions as necessary to anticipate student needs and procedural changes that will affect the IOB Graduate programs. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and 8 years of progressively responsible experience related to graduate programs (e.g. advising/admissions)
