Degree and Area of Specialization:

A Bachelor's degree is required.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

A minimum of 1 year of professional experience (may include undergraduate or graduate level internship/practicum experience) in alumni relations, career services, development/advancement, external relations, recruitment, volunteer coordination, or related field.

Position Summary:

The Alumni Relations Coordinator reports to the Director of Career Advising and Communities and within the same unit as advising staff (professional and graduate level interns) and department relations. The individual in this position will create and implement a strategic engagement program that increases alumni involvement in the College of Letters & Science related to supporting the career development of students. Objectives of this position include the following: creation of an overall strategy to manage and support a plan to actively engage alumni in L&S Career and Internship Center activities, education and support of alumni to effectively support students and attain programmatic goals, and manage ongoing alumni stewardship activities.
