Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Visits colleges, speaks to groups and individual students, and meets with college counselors to promote research activities. Manages and evaluates the database of prospective students or potential degree candidates, analyzes trends in recruitment programs, and develops strategies for recruitment program evaluation. Develops recruitment partnerships between the College of Social Work, the university, and colleges throughout the state, region, nation and global community. Participates in the development of recruitment and marketing plans, strategies, and written materials.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Social Work and 1 year related experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of marketing and public relations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Creativity in developing strategies for recruitment and marketing. Ability to manage time and plan travel schedule to visit colleges and attend conferences. Flexibility in scheduling. Proficient computer skills with database programs/applications. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
