Position Information: The Senior Pharmacist supports the overall mission of Student Health Services in order to serve the students, staff, and faculty of UCR. The Senior Pharmacist dispenses prescription drugs and sells over-the-counter items to students, staff, and faculty of UCR. The Senior Pharmacist is responsible for keeping inventory and recordkeeping for the pharmacy unit. The Senior Pharmacist consults and advises providers on pharmacy issues and supervises other pharmacy staff.

Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with Doctor of Pharmacy degree (pharmD).

Must have current unrestricted License for Registered Pharmacist issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Experience as a licensed Pharmacist and ability to assume administrative responsibilities for the Pharmacy.

Skills and knowledge according to the standards of practice in the local medical community and in accordance with the laws of the state of California.

Ability to treat co-workers with respect and to resolve conflict by acceptable methods.

Courteous and pleasant manner.

Experience supervising pharmacy staff.

Must be BLS certified.

Preferred Qualifications: Five years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist and ability to assume administrative responsibilities for the Pharmacy.

Working knowledge of effective inventory system.
