Advanced Practice Clinician/RN

The temporary Advanced Practice Clinician or Registered Nurse will be assuming a role within the Center for Health & Wellness to cover a staffing need throughout the fall semester.

Campus Location:

Required Knowledge:
Minimum of BS degree in Nursing or related science/health specialty field
Current MA license for RN/NP, with eligibility for DEA/MDPH prescriptive authority if NP.
Must possess strong interpersonal and excellent clinical decision making skills.
Ability to perform phlebotomy and CLIA waived laboratory testing
Current CPR certification
Demonstrated competence & experience w/Women’s Health/GYN issues, exam & counseling; Familiarity with common illness/injury management: including: URI, Sore throat, UTI, STD risk factors/screening, ear infections, sprains, Immunizations
Working knowledge of developmental needs of adolescent/middle age adults
A commitment to diversity and team building

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
MS degree in Nursing, Public Health, Clinical Medicine Familiarity w/EMR (Electronic Medical Record Experience developing & presenting health education outreach programs Experience w/culturally diverse population Prior ER experience a plus

Required Prior Work Experience:
For NP: Minimum of 3 years experience,in adult, family, or primary care practice setting
