Job Description

THE POSITION

Lead the Warehouse / Logistics Team under the direction of the Plant Manager.

Your primary responsibility would be to establish a team-culture focused on continuous improvement in the areas of Safety, Inventory Management, On-Time Delivery, Associate Engagement, Costs Control, Efficiencies, and Quality.

The majority of the work is project based so accurate, on-time dispatch is crucial. Proactive planning and agility is necessary to make dispatch times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurate, on-time dispatch of finished product.

This position will be 80% hands-on to developing the team experiencing explosive growth. You will oversee the complete picking, packing, crating, and distribution of finished goods. This position is the subject matter expert responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of finished goods and raw material.

Identify and implement best practices that will improve the various roles and responsibilities aforementioned. Examples include, partner with the production manager to establish a multi-skilled workforce that to meet volume fluctuations while providing a stable work schedule for associates. This position requires proactive planning of weekly schedules, succession plans, and cross training plans to meet KPI's ".

In addition to technical acumen with current supply chain and logistic methodologies, the candidate elected will exemplify our company core values. He / She will leverage strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal customers (communicate schedules, research concerns, and resolve issues) and ensure client satisfaction. The candidate elected will have experience developing people in a team and individually.

Attain or exceed budgeted goals for all fixed and variable costs through associate development and accountability.

Support the development of a manufacturing culture that leverages current manufacturing methodologies (root-cause analysis and preventative processes) to eliminate repetitive errors.

Interact with clients (internal/external) and venders to coordinate priority deliveries and expeditiously resolve issues.

Partner with appropriate resources to lead associate relations including but not limited to team development, team building, staffing, corrective actions, and terminations as appropriate and in compliance with the company policies and procedures.

Responsible for knowing policies and procedures and for enforcing the proper use thereof.

Assume general responsibilities in the absence of coworkers.

Performs any other tasks as assigned by leadership to achieve overall objectives of the organization.

Preferred Skills:

WMS experience

Navision / Dynamics experience

Experience working with High Performance Teams

Supply Chain / Logistics / Industrial Engineering degree

3-5 years in leadership

3-5 years in warehouse and logistics

3PL experience

Lean / Six Sigma

International distribution experence
