Advertised Job Summary: Job Duties Include: During advisement periods, meet with assigned students and provide advisement on course work and all progression requirements. Throughout the year, provide advisement and assistance to assigned advisees when needed. Assist assigned advisees with registration, financial aid, fees, and other university processes when appropriate. Assist with undergraduate orientation program and other student events pertaining to assigned programs as needed. Meet with students interested in changing their major to education from other majors on campus to provide information about the program and to advise regarding the process of changing majors. Serve as main contact person for recruitment events and activities, including attending events. Coordinate prospective student/family visits with faculty. Respond to prospective student inquiries. Work with college leadership team assisting in the planning and implementation of recruitment activities for the College of Education. Some travel may be required. Work closely with program coordinator and other designated program faculty in assigned programs to ensure accurate communication of information to students and to facilitate the review of course substitution requests, program academic petitions, and other similar student requests. Monitor assigned advisees as they progress through program. Complete formal progression and graduation checks at appropriate times of the year. Notify students and program faculty of eligibility. Contribute to overall unit goals by completing additional duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience.
