Advertised Job Summary: Serve as front helpdesk and telephone/email contact for the college's user community for general technical questions. Troubleshoot and resolve basic end-user network and server access problems as well as basic hardware, operating system, and software problems, when possible from the helpdesk. Forward technical support issues that cannot be resolved by the Help Desk to appropriate technician. Create and maintain related documentation. Comply with all pertinent information security requirements and standards as mandated by federal and state laws and regulations, as well as University and College policies and procedures. Coordinate and perform administrative, business, and fixed asset inventory activities. Prepare reports, correspondence, memos, and forms as well as file paperwork, and provide general assistance to I.T. department personnel as directed by the director for I.T. Services. Update I.T. Services' website documentation as well as printed handouts as needed. Make travel arrangements and file appropriate paperwork. Create Purchase Orders or use Purchasing Card to order required equipment for the I.T.S department. Serve as Credit Card liaison for I.T.S. Inventory supplies and order supplies as necessary for I.T.S department. Oversee network cable pulls and maintenance of the network wiring for college buildings. Maintain Carolina Card door access schedules and user accesses. Troubleshoot card and door problems. Call Facilities, Custodial Services, and UTS for repairs and services as needed or requested. Report problems to UTS for smart classroom technologies. Follow-up on requests to assure that needs are met. Obtain and maintain job training and certifications as required by job responsibilities. Self-train and maintain pace with rapidly changing technology as required. Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems or related field and 1 year related work experience or high school diploma and 5 years related work experience; or equivalency.
