Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of Media Arts invites applications for a position beginning fall 2017 at the Lecturer level in the area of Critical-Cultural Studies. This is a one-year lecturer position. The Department offers undergraduate degrees in Media Arts and Converged Broadcast Media, an MA in Media Arts, and an MFA in Documentary Production and Studies. University of North Texas is ranked among thenation's tier one research universities.

Position Responsibilities
Teach a combination of undergraduate courses as assigned (proposed work load is 4 classes per long semester, with the possibility of additional summer employment).

Minimum Qualifications:
1. An MA in Media Arts or a related discipline is required at the time of appointment.

2. Ability to teach and develop a broad range of courses at the undergraduate level in the history, criticism, and theory of film and television.

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced course work or a PhD is also desirable.
