Plan and implement a program appropriate for a designated group of young children and support a positive learning environment for college students.
Required: Associate of Arts Degree in early childhood education or related academic field with 20 hours in early childhood education and 10 hours or related coursework. Pursue a bachelor's degree with an additional 6 hours of related coursework.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education or related academic field with 20 hours in early childhood education and 16 hours of related coursework. Experience in a nationally accredited program. Experience with a similar age group of children as indicated by the position available.
Three months teaching experience in a child care center or preschool. Meet requirements for program director of a unit of children to be served as defined by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Experience with word processing and general computer use. Good interpersonal skills.
