The Distance Learning office is looking for a Helpdesk Assistant to assist faculty, staff and students with issues pertaining the use of Blackboard and other instructional technology used in hybrid/online courses at UNT Dallas.The primarily responsible is to provide just-in time instructional technology support and training to use various tools for online teaching and learning. The following related software programs and applications:* Blackboard Learn* Smart Boards* Turnitin* Socrative* Microsoft Office * Other web-based applications used in eLearningAdapt at troubleshooting Blackboard user problemsResponding to student and faculty issues regarding Blackboard and other instructional technology tools issues by e-mail, phone call or in personCreating / maintaining Blackboard coursesAssist with course developmentAssist with the quality control of courses in Blackboard during the semester by reporting deficienciesAudit Blackboard courses for quality controlLight media productionMaintain accurate documentation of course development and archival processes in Blackboard as requestedCreate and maintain Department files and reports (i.e., statistics, SACS)Create, update and edit applicable Department e-sites (i.e. Department Facebook page, YouTube channel, website, or blog)Research various topics and information on distance learning as requested by/for the Director of Online Marketing and Development/Instructional Design CoordinatorOn occasion you may be required to undertake other duties assigned within BlackboardAssist with planning department events
