This is a full-time, benefits eligible, at will position. This position is designated exempt under FLSA and not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but may vary based on operational needs.
Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President, the Director will provide leadership in the provision of health promotion and education opportunities for students. The incumbent works closely with the Assistant Vice President regarding mission, goals, programs, outreach services, development, budget, personnel, resource management assessment and overall direction of HP. The incumbent will also be responsible for organizing and conducting health educator programs and additional services as a resource to other departments of student health issues.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting annual salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $70,008. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

Master’s Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in student services or related field, public or business administration or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been acquired.
Preferred Qualifications and Specialized Skills
- Experience writing grant applications.
- Knowledge of, or ability to understand the role and functioning of Student Services and Academic Affairs.
