We invite candidates to apply for our Assistant Director of Student Development – Disability Services position. The    Assistant Director will provides innovative services and academic accommodations that enhance the quality of the student experience. This position strives to sustain a student-centered learning environment leading to student goal completion and the development of self-sustaining students. This position is instrumental in the planning, implementation, and management of services and accommodations utilized through the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD), within Student Development, and throughout the College. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: leading student disability support functions, developing and providing training and guidance to students and faculty regarding existing and emerging disability issues and services, developing the continuous improvement of services to students through assessment and evaluation. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core values of Service Excellence of respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration in all interactions. Supervisor must model LSSC’s Service Excellence Philosophy and Standards and ensure staff members meet Service Excellence standards.


Required: Bachelor’s degree required.  Minimum 3 years of directly related professional experience working with individuals with disabilities in a post-secondary educational setting required.

Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field (Spec Ed, Deaf Ed, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, and Psychology) preferred.
