LABORATORY RESEARCH TECHNICIAN, College of Engineering, Biomedical Engineering (9800/G2517)
The Optical Characterization and Nanophysics Laboratory is seeking a full time laboratory technician to develop surface chemistries and perform surface functionalization of biosensors for clinical applications in molecular diagnostics of a variety of infectious diseases and cancer. Applicants must be able to work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and medical professionals in a highly collaborative research environment. The position will be responsible for biosensor fabrication, biological assay design & optimization, and biological experiments. Applicants will be expected to contribute meaningfully to scientific publications and technical reports. In addition to performing scientific projects, technician will be responsible for general maintenance of the laboratory.
Applicants with undergraduate degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, materials science and engineering or similar fields are encouraged to apply.
