Position Overview:
In this position you will assist in the management of a large team of Military Enrollment Specialists (Admissions Advisors). You will also assist in the execution of the business plan, the control of expenses and other managerial functions, as needed. You will be responsible for the implementation of student recruitment strategies and the management of training resources; working with future students and for all phases of the Admissions process (from marketing the program with students to qualifying them for enrollment). In addition, you will resolve most complex enrollment questions and problems.

Specific Duties & Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist and lead in the development, direction and coordination of Advisor team activities in working with students
  • Provide input and recommendation to management on staffing
  • Ensure that objectives, plans, budgets, policies, practices and actions are consistent with the overall for the Admissions Office, in conjunction with management
  • Ensure quality hires and manage compensation and performance management programs to stay within salary budget, under the direction of management
  • Lead the Advisor team to ensure that policies and decisions are followed.
  • Serve as a leader and mentor to all levels of advisors
  • Complete leadership stretch assignments, training courses, etc. to develop essential management skills and talent
  • Train and mentor advisors in the assessment of future students to ensure they have the potential, traits, characteristics and financial wherewithal to been rolled through graduation
  • Lead, and mentor advisors ensuring high level of knowledge of academic programs and admission processes
  • Ensure advisors provide excellent customer service to students through the admission process
  • Adhere to laws and regulations governing student recruitment activities in conjuction with the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • 2 or more years of experience in Admissions in Higher Education
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team; prior anagement experience is strongly preferred
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to be a self-starter
  • Previous military experience is strongly preferred
