Job description

Duties: Manage efficient and effective operations of the Office of Nursing Administration and Vice Dean to create greater capacity by providing planning, analyses and support for a wide variety of initiatives, processes and projects across the school. Provide project leadership including develop detailed project plans, collect key data and analyze needs to ensure effective follow-through and tracking of risks and issues on key projects for on-time delivery, within scope and within budget. Liaise with senior leadership and faculty/staff on strategic initiatives and projects. Advise and comment on evolving initiatives and projects in the School, as appropriate. Develop messaging and content for various audiences; Establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of School and University stakeholders on behalf of the Vice Dean to advance strategic goals; Supervise staff.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 5-7 years progressively responsible work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Masters degree desired.

Strong management and administrative background with solid supervisory experience essential. Superior organizational skills required.

Exceptional written communication skills needed with sound judgment and effective interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across all levels. The successful candidate will be a leader who possess a focused results orientation, be a strong problem solver with the ability to analyze, evaluate and design effective systems and procedures and will be adept at multi-tasking in a fast paced environment while handling confidential information with sensitivity and discretion. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong PC related skills in MS Office, database management and the Web as needed.
