Job description

Duties: The purpose of this position is to manage the daily operations of UPenn's new Behavior Change for Good Initiative. This will require liaising with a wide range of constituents - faculty, corporate partners, and Wharton staff in particular as well as some donors. The director will be the principal person responsible for coordinating every aspect of the initiative: communication, fund-raising, research, conference planning and production, and the development of a technology product we are creating that will be released to hundreds of thousands of users and oversight of a product team. The director will work with the faculty directors to establish and refine the initiative's scope and strategy. The director will supervise a team of permanent and temporary staff, administrative assistants, etc.

Qualifications: A PhD and 5 - 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. An understanding of higher education and university procedures is helpful. Outstanding organizational skills. High level events planning needed. Experience supervising different levels of positions would be valuable. Ability to professionally represent the School/University/Initiative is a must. An understanding of finance and accounting and budget would be helpful. Ability to gather, understand, analyze and report data and research results.
