Summary of Duties:
This position is responsible for effectively administering and implementing Cougs Rise, a student success initiative funded by the US Department of Education to Washington State University, focused on supporting college transition and retention of low-income and first generation students from across the state. The project director is charged with carrying out the mission and strategic plan of the institution through the development and implementation of curriculum and services, resource allocation, communications, project development, compliance, evaluation, and supervision of personnel.
Individuals who are first-generation college students/graduates or from low-income backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A Masters degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience.
