The Department of Chemistry at Bucknell University invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track faculty position in biochemistry to begin August 2018. The successful candidate will teach biochemistry lecture and lab and will also contribute to the teaching of introductory level courses in organic and/or general chemistry, depending on background and interests. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop advanced courses in the candidate's area of specialty. A commitment to excellent teaching in a culturally diverse environment is expected. Development of a strong research program in some area of biochemistry (including bioorganic, bioinorganic and chemical biology) that complements current research within the department and that involves undergraduate and MS-level research students is also expected.

A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field is expected (ABD considered) with postdoctoral experience preferred. We seek someone with the potential to be an outstanding teacher/scholar and who contributes to advancing diversity efforts within the sciences.
