Teaching assignment will include instruction in various chemistry lectures and laboratories at the associate and baccalaureate levels including the application of chemical instrumentation techniques to forensic and environmental science coursework. Additional duties within the Physical and Life Sciences department will include student recruitment, student advisement, curriculum/course development and college/ department service. Applied research and grant writing opportunities are also available and encouraged. The college would like this applicant to start in January 2018 for the spring semester.
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or related field required. Documented teaching experience in both lecture and laboratory settings required. A diverse background, including practical experience in the disciplines of analytical, physical, and/or inorganic chemistry is preferred. Experience in the theoretical concepts and operation of a variety of chemical instrumentation techniques including GC, GC-MS, FTIR, AAS, and HPLC is desired.
