Primary Function of Organization Unit: North Carolina State University and the surrounding area have many enriching opportunities. Essential Job Duties: The new faculty member will be expected to establish an independent research program, actively participate in the veterinary and graduate teaching programs, and will have the opportunity to participate in the NC State Comparative Medicine Institute (CMI), located on the veterinary college campus. Opportunities at the CMI include new initiatives in veterinary clinical trials. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to interact with clinical faculty in the state-of-the-art Veterinary Health Complex. The specific teaching requirements will be tailored to the expertise of the individual and the needs of the college.
Minimum Education/Experience: Applicants must have a DVM (or its equivalent) with board certification in the specialty of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology. Candidates with a Ph.D. in pharmacology or a related field are preferred.
Department Required Skills: The applicant must be a pharmacologist and preference will be given to veterinarians with a Ph.D. in pharmacology, who are board certified in Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology.
